The lecture focused on the topic “Digitalization in Economics and Business: Challenges and Opportunities.”

Professors, doctoral students, master’s students, and undergraduate students of our university took part in the event.

During the lecture, participants gained important insights, including:

Digitalization is one of the key drivers of today’s global economy. It plays a crucial role in increasing corporate efficiency, expanding markets, and strengthening competitiveness. Technologies such as artificial intelligence, digital payments, cloud services, big data, and IoT enable business processes to be managed faster, more accurately, and more conveniently. As a result, companies reduce costs, optimize production processes, and significantly improve customer service quality.

Key opportunities of the digital economy and business include:

  • Automation and cost-efficiency – fewer manual tasks and more efficient allocation of resources

  • Data-driven management – digital analytics enable accurate forecasting and strategic decision-making

  • Growth of e-commerce – companies can reach wider audiences online and increase sales

  • Favorable environment for innovation and startups – digital ecosystems support the creation of new business models

  • Access to international markets – digital platforms expand export potential

At the same time, digitalization presents certain challenges. First, many companies lack specialists with strong digital skills. Second, weak cybersecurity can lead to data breaches or hacker attacks.

At the end of the lecture, teachers and students asked many interesting questions and benefited from the speaker’s extensive experience. The session was interactive, insightful, and engaging.
