On December 10, 2021 the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted Decree PD-42, “On Measures to fundamentally improve the system for training engineering personnel for economic sectors based on Innovation and Digitalization.” Clause 2 of this decree emphasizes the need to train highly qualified engineers for sectors such as hydropower, green economy, green energy, renewable energy sources, and digital technologies.

To ensure timely, high-quality, and comprehensive implementation of this decree, on December 10, 2025 an excursion for 2nd-year bachelor students of the “Energy Engineering” program was organized at the “Bozsuv” HPP, part of the Tashkent HPP Cascade. The event was led by Sh. Jumanazarov, lecturer at the Department of “Electric power supply and renewable energy sources,” and M. Fayzullaev, laboratory head.

At the start of the excursion, students were introduced to technical safety rules by M. Mirsaidov, the lead engineer for labor protection and safety at Bozsuv HPP. Following this, the HPP Director, D. Bobokalonov, provided students with detailed information about the operation of the HPP, its main and auxiliary equipment, and their working principles. Additionally, students visited the Bozsuv HPP Museum No. 1.

This excursion allowed students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge through practical observation and experience, bridging classroom learning with real-world applications.
