Visit to the LONGi Company

On December 11, 2025 the representatives and students of “Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy Technology, the leading photovoltaic companies of China.
LONGi Green Energy Technology Company Limited is a Chinese company in the photovoltaic sector and is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of silicon wafers, solar cells and solar modules. LONGi produces polysilicon, silicon wafers and ingots, solar cells, and solar modules, and is also engaged in the design and construction of solar power plants. The company’s manufacturing facilities are located in China, Vietnam, Malaysia, and India, while its major sales offices operate in the United States, Japan, Australia, India, and the United Arab Emirates.
In order to become closely acquainted with the company’s recent achievements and future plans, as well as to elevate mutual cooperation to a higher level, another meeting was organized. During the meeting, issues such as opportunities for cooperation on renewable energy projects, prospects for using LONGi technologies in the university’s research activities, practical training and internship programs for students, experience exchange in the field of solar energy, and the organization of joint seminars were discussed.
In addition, a two-week training course on “Design and Installation of Photovoltaic Power Plants” was organized for the third-year students of “Alternative Energy Sources” study program. In the next class session, students were provided with theoretical knowledge on the key aspects to focus on when designing photovoltaic power plants and on the use of specialized software programs (PVsyst, PV*SOL, etc.).
In the second part of the lesson, in order to consolidate the theoretical knowledge gained, one of the buildings located on the campus of “TIIAME” National Research University was selected via the pvmasterlongi.com platform, and students learned how to design the installation of solar panels on its rooftop.
