14.01.2026
Dear soldiers and sergeants, officers and generals!
Esteemed veterans of our Armed Forces!
Dear compatriots!
First of all, I sincerely congratulate you, dear friends, and our entire multinational people on the 34th anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and on Defenders of the Motherland Day.
On this auspicious occasion, we once again express our highest respect and deep appreciation to the guardians of our Motherland who have devoted their lives to the extremely honorable and responsible duty of defending the homeland, who remain faithful to their military oath, and who vigilantly safeguard our country’s independence and territorial integrity as the apple of their eye.
At the same time, we pay profound tribute to the memory of our heroic sons who bravely sacrificed their lives while fulfilling their sacred duty to the Motherland.
Today, our people are achieving great successes and milestones on the path toward building a New Uzbekistan. In the truly historic transformations being carried out across all spheres and sectors of our life, the valiant Armed Forces—and you personally—have made a worthy contribution. This is an undeniable truth.
We regard you as the worthy successors of the glorious traditions of our great ancestors, and we rightfully take pride in you—devoted to the Motherland, ruthless toward the enemy, ever vigilant in combat ranks, and always ready to fight with determination and courage.
Taking this opportunity, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the parents who raised such brave, fearless, and heroic sons for our nation, as well as to the family members who share all the joys and hardships with them throughout their military service.
Dear friends!
In recent years, within the framework of the “Uzbekistan–2030” Strategy, we have been carrying out large-scale efforts to strengthen the military power of our Armed Forces, which are becoming one of the firm guarantees of our irreversible reforms. In particular, command and logistics systems are being improved and modernized on the basis of advanced information technologies, and our troops are being reinforced with well-trained, highly qualified officers and sergeants educated under modern systems of training and upbringing.
The level of preparedness of personnel, as well as the professional, intellectual, and moral potential of servicemen, is being consistently enhanced. Our Armed Forces are being gradually equipped with modern weapons and military hardware.
Effective efforts aimed at increasing young people’s interest in military service, instilling in them a spirit of patriotism, and further strengthening the unity and solidarity between the people and the army are being resolutely continued.
At present, we all clearly see and understand the rapid changes taking place on the political and military map of the world.
In various regions, the geopolitical situation is becoming increasingly complex, with conflicts and bloody clashes intensifying. Modern technologies and new generations of weapons are emerging, while strategies and tactics of warfare are being further refined.
Taking the current situation into account, we will continue to update combat and command methods in line with the requirements of the time and pay special attention to training highly qualified military personnel.
In particular, the continuous enhancement of the combat spirit and physical preparedness of servicemen, as well as the strengthening of patriotic feelings in their hearts, will remain a top priority for us. This is because the outcome of any struggle is determined by the knowledge and skills of personnel, their willpower and determination, self-confidence, and courageous qualities.
Equipping our national army with modern weapons and military equipment, including robotic systems based on artificial intelligence, as well as further expanding the introduction of advanced information technologies into troop management and decision-making processes, will remain at the center of our attention.
We will intensify efforts to improve the effectiveness of social protection for servicemen and their family members and to enhance their well-being. In this regard, we will attach special importance to the active participation of state and civil institutions, as well as the broader public.
Every serviceman must always feel that the people and the army are one body and one soul, and that behind them stands a 38-million-strong nation as a solid and reliable support, from which they should draw boundless strength, spirit, and inspiration.
I am confident that our servicemen, unmatched in zeal and determination, will continue to honorably fulfill their sacred duty to the Motherland, drawing inspiration and lessons from the immortal legacy of our fearless and valiant ancestors who never bowed their heads before the enemy.
Dear Defenders of the Motherland!
At this inspiring moment, I once again sincerely congratulate each of you on today’s holiday and wish you and your families good health, happiness, and great success in your noble efforts to strengthen the defense capability of our state.
May you never tire in defending our beloved Motherland, and may achievement and victory always accompany you!
Shavkat Mirziyoyev
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan
