30.10.2026
As part of the InnoWeek–2026 International Innovation Ideas Week, an award ceremony was held to recognize achievements in research performance and scientific publishing. Over the past five years, the number of publications by Uzbek scientists in international scientific databases has increased significantly. In particular, the number of articles indexed in the Scopus database has grown from 3,500 to nearly 11,000, while publications indexed in the Web of Science database have increased from 1,300 to approximately 4,800. Winners were recognized in two categories: “Most Outstanding Author of the Year” – recognizing researchers with high publication activity in international scientific databases.
“Most Active Publisher of the Year” – recognizing achievements in scientific publishing.
During the selection process, performance indicators across 27 subject areas in Scopus and 10 subject areas in Web of Science were evaluated. Particular attention was also paid to research integrity and publication ethics.
A total of 59 scientists from 31 higher education institutions and research organizations received awards.
The ceremony once again highlighted the importance of improving the quality of scientific publications, recognizing contributions to the international research community, and upholding the principles of academic integrity.
