On September 29, 2025  a special meeting was held at the Faculty of Energy in Lecture Hall 8 of Building V for the first-year students. The guest of honor was Ezozbek Ozodov, winner of the national competitions “Best Idea,” “Best Project,” and “Best Invention”, a leading figure in innovative ideas, recipient of the “Kokrak” badge, head of over 10 projects and startups, a two-time Presidential Scholar and a true pride of the faculty.

During his speech, Ezozbek Ozodov introduced his project titled “Digital Device for Wastewater Treatment.” The device, notable for its high efficiency, has attracted attention not only from local experts but also from international specialists. Currently, in addition to support at the national level, opportunities for funding from major U.S. companies are also emerging. The international recognition of this project inspired the students greatly.

He also spoke in detail about the startup development process from turning an idea into a concept, building a prototype, and bringing it to market. Ozodov shared his practical experiences and emphasized the importance of exploring funding opportunities through grant programs, private investments, and international partnerships.

According to Ezozbek Ozodov, the university itself is a vast field of opportunities for young innovators. The faculty laboratories, constant support from academic supervisors, and access to state and international grant programs, along with the annual “Intellect” competition, serve as a strong foundation for implementing startups and new ideas.

At the end of the meeting, he highlighted the importance of setting clear goals, striving for them with determination, developing teamwork skills, and fostering innovative thinking. He also reminded the students that the effective use of modern technologies is one of the most crucial qualities of today’s engineers.

The meeting at the Faculty of Energy inspired students not only to gain knowledge, but also to take bold steps toward new ideas and ambitions.
