Ceremonial event dedicated to “Teachers and Mentors Day”

The teacher and mentor are among the most esteemed and respected members of society. Teachers devote their knowledge and experience to educating and nurturing the younger generation, helping them grow into worthy individuals in the future. For this reason, the teaching profession is considered both honorable and highly responsible.

In our country, October 1 is celebrated widely and with special respect as "Teachers and Mentors" Day. In connection with this occasion, a festive educational event was held at the "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers" National Research University. The university administration, professors, mentors and students participated in the event.

The program opened with the special song “Mehr nuri yog‘ar doim yuzingizdan ustozlar” (“The light of kindness always shines from your faces, dear teachers”). Then the university rector, Professor Bakhadir Mirzaev delivered a speech, warmly congratulating teachers and mentors on their professional holiday. In his remarks, the rector emphasized the vital role of teachers in society and their great responsibility in educating the young generation.

The Deputy Minister of Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan Rustam Jorayevich also extended congratulations to the university community and expressed sincere wishes to the teachers.

During the event, a group of professors and mentors, who had dedicated many years to selfless service and contributed greatly to the education of the young generation were honored with the certificates and badges of distinction, including:

  • The “Excellence in Water Management of the Republic of Uzbekistan” badge was awarded to 7 teachers

  • The “Excellence in Higher Education” badge was awarded to 10 teachers

  • The University Badge of Honor was awarded to 17 teachers

  • The University Certificate of Merit was awarded to 43 teachers

In addition, young teachers, who had achieved notable results in their work were also recognized and encouraged.

The educational part of the event featured a concert prepared by the students. Performances of national songs, dances, and poetry expressed profound respect and appreciation for the teachers. A special highlight was the participation and performance of Munojot Yolchiyeva, People’s Artist of Uzbekistan, which left an unforgettable impression on everyone.

At the conclusion of the event, Rector Bakhadir Mirzaev expressed his gratitude to all participants and wished the teachers and mentors success in their future endeavors. The event was held in a festive spirit and left a warm and lasting impression on all attendees.
