Study activities conducted in Khonka district of Khorezm region within the framework of the “Roadmap” implementation

In order to ensure the implementation of the tasks set out in Resolution No. PD-122 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dated April 2, 2026, and within the framework of the “Roadmap” focused on measures being carried out in the water management sector as well as scientific solutions, study activities were conducted in Khonka District of the Khorezm Region.
As part of the event, Associate Professor Q. Yakubov from the Department of "Hydrotechnical Constructions" of the "TIIAME" National Research University, Director I. Kardashov of “Maxsus Suv Qurilish” LLC, and Head R. Sabirov of “Palvon-Gazovat” Irrigation System Administration carried out field studies.
During the visit, they reviewed the concrete lining works of the internal canal “Zargar yab,” which flows through the “Qoramazi” neighborhood of Khonka District. The canal is 5.4 km long with a water flow capacity of 1 cubic meter per second, and the project aims to improve water supply for households and 684 hectares of household land plots. Currently, 2.5 km of the canal has been concreted, and this section was inspected on-site.
During the study, the quality indicators of reconstruction and concreting works of irrigation networks were analyzed, and relevant scientific and practical recommendations were provided for their further improvement.
