The "TIIAME" National Research University and Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), one of China’s leading universities (ranked among the Top 101+ globally) have launched a new phase of cooperation in the field of space research.

During a meeting with Professor Fan Feng, Vice President of Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), the parties reached an agreement to collaborate on the development of aerospace technologies, the design of a Space Research Laboratory (including Vacuum, Vibration, and Mechanical Testing facilities), and the joint development of the “TIIAME NRU-Satellite”, with completion targeted for 2028.

As part of the partnership, a special Winter School on Satellite Development will be organized for researchers from the 'TIIAME" National Research University, providing specialized training in satellite design, engineering, and related technologies.

In addition, interfaculty cooperation agreements were signed with HIT’s research centers in Astronautics, Satellite Technologies, and Space Optical Technologies. These agreements provide a framework for student and researcher exchanges, joint scientific research, shared access to library resources, and the implementation of collaborative scientific and applied research projects.

This partnership represents a significant step toward strengthening international cooperation in aerospace science and technology while enhancing the university’s research capacity in satellite engineering and space innovation.
