As part of the implementation of Resolution No. PD-122 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dated April 2, 2026 a meeting was held with the management of the Lausitz and Central German Mining Administration Company
During the meeting, the parties outlined plans for cooperation on the project titled "Development of Scientific Recommendations on Integrated Measures for Land Reclamation, Recultivation, and Protection of Degraded Lands."
The key areas of cooperation include:
Applying LMBV's extensive technical and environmental expertise in coal mine reclamation to the conditions of Uzbekistan;
Identifying approaches for the reclamation of disturbed lands and the creation of new landscapes based on regional development programs;
Implementing joint scientific and technical projects on land reclamation and land protection;
Involving LMBV's highly qualified specialists in the University's educational process.
This cooperation will contribute to bringing Uzbekistan's land resource management system in line with international standards and strengthening the country's scientific and practical capacity in the field of environmental protection.
